AREA 22 Arts, Crafts, & Oddities Fair
AREA 22 serves as the premiere fine arts, crafts, and oddities fair in the Fox Valley. The festival will take place on SATURDAY, AUGUST 2ND from 1-7PM on Riverside Drive in downtown Elgin, showcasing the creations and collections of visual artists in our area. AREA 22 features artist exhibition and sale, live art/sculpture making, entertainment, food vendors, beverages... and fun for the whole family. Free Admission and Parking. Rain or Shine.
Side Street Studio Arts invites you to participate in this one of a kind event in Downtown Elgin. AREA 22 is a mix of the traditional fine-art fair concept, with a generous dusting of the eclectic and avant garde. So grab your kids, your parents, your neighbors, your pets… yes, dogs and snakes are allowed… and join us at the most exciting art fair you will ever experience!
(You may experience more exciting art fairs but we highly doubt it! :)
IMPORTANT DATES
SATURDAY, AUGUST 2ND from 1-7PM - Fair to take place along Riverside Drive.
1pm - 7pm, with an after party at Vern's Tavern.
June 3 - Deadline for application.
June 10 - Approval Notification sent to artists.
We will only be accepting 60 artist/booths. A waitlist will be created.
June 18 - Deadline for artist acceptance. *Booth fee invoiced upon acceptance; booth space will not be reserved without payment.
June 18 - Deadline for payments made.
June 25 - Load-In/Set-Up/Day-Of information sent to participants.
VENDOR FEE
$75 for the one-day event for a 10’ x 10’ space.
$100 for the one-day event for a 20' x 10' space.
$50 - Young Artist Booth, 17 and below (10 spots available)

There is a $15 fee per submission. If chosen, your fee will be applied to your booth fee. *Submission fees are non-refundable.
This is a juried event. No commission will be charged for work sold. VENDOR/BOOTH FEE charged upon acceptance. Your booth space will not be reserved without Vendor Fee payment. There will be no refunds for artist cancellations. However, refunds would be made in the event of AREA 22 being canceled by its producers.
