47th Annual Frankfort Art Fair to be held in Market Square Park in historic Frankfort on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan.

The Frankfort-Elberta Area Chamber of Commerce invites you to apply to the Annual Frankfort Art Fair to be held in Market Square Park in historic Frankfort on the shores of beautiful Lake Michigan.

SHOW DATES: Friday, August 18, 2023, 1:00 pm - 7:00 pm & Saturday, August 19, 2023, 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Registration and booth set-up starts Friday at 9:00 AM and will continue through 7:00 pm, however, NO VEHICLES will be allowed in the Park during the hours of 12:30 pm & 7:30 pm on Friday to accommodate Friday night sales participants. Saturday registration is 7:00 - 8:30 AM.

JURYING: This is a juried show open to fine arts. NO BUY/SELL ITEMS WILL BE ALLOWED. Applicants must submit a total of 5 photos*. PLEASE NOTE: ELECTRONIC PHOTOS ARE ACCEPTED! You can also still mail your photos (and payment) if needed. ALL APPLICANTS WILL BE JURIED -Prior exhibitors are NOT automatically accepted. PLEASE NOTE: Jury fee is included in Booth Fee ($25 Jury Fee)

Include a SELF -ADDRESSED APPROPRIATELY STAMPED ENVELOPE (SASE)so we can return of your photos. ONLY IF YOU MAIL YOUR PHOTOS.

Label each photo with artist's name, media, size, price of item and if you have more than one type/category - please provide the percentage of each type and an arrow indicating the top of the photo. Your work will NOT be juried if you do not submit the required size and amount of photos. All photos should represent your CURRENT work including the BOOTH photo. Your booth will be re-juried during the Fair. SEND TWO SEPARATE CHECKS (Booth fee and Jury fee - separate)

DEADLINE: Applications must be received by August 11.

Please note: NO REFUNDS AFTER JULY 18, NO EXCEPTIONS. It is to your advantage to APPLY EARLY as it increases your chance of becoming an exhibitor and gaining your space preference. Notifications will be sent out after each jurying session. Your checks will not be cashed until AFTER you are accepted in to the Fair. SEND TWO SEPARATE CHECKS (Booth fee and Jury fee - separate).

LATE APPLICATION FEE: $25 LATE APPLICATION FEE applies after JULY 18.

FOOD: There will be food vendors onsite. If you have specific diet restrictions, please plan accordingly and bring food. The Methodist Church will hold their annual Pig Roast Friday evening. Complimentary coffee and donuts will be available for exhibitors after 7:30 am on Saturday at the Info Booth.

ADVERTISING: We are committed to timely print ads in local and regional newspapers, calendar of events, Internet, public service announcements, lists in print, broadcasting and Michigan tourist publications.

NON-Profit Organizations: Non-Profit organizations are more than welcome to display any fundraising items at the Frankfort Art Fair. All Non-Profit organizations will be in one specific area (lettered area) in the Park for NO COST. If a Non-Profit organization would like a prime exhibitor spot in the Park (numbered), the fee is $150. As with the exhibitors, Non-Profit organizations are not allowed to have BUY SELL ITEMS. Non-Profit organizations are not permitted to roam through the Fair approaching customers. Please stay in your assigned booth. Non-Profit organizations are also not permitted to "yell" at customers from their booth.

RULES: A list of rules is enclosed with your application (view rules). The rules will be enforced. Limited edition prints signed and numbered are acceptable, (less than 20% of booth). The committee has the right to exclude any exhibitor not abiding by the rules, the entries in any category, and to remove any work considered inappropriate or not consistent with the rules. No refunds to accepted artists after July 18. NO EXCEPTIONS!

PARKING – PLEASE READ: Limited overnight parking is available on a first come basis on the North side of Bellows Ave., (the side of the street with houses). The side of Bellows that is behind exhibitors is reserved for those artists! If your booth is NOT on Bellows – DO NOT PARK BEHIND SOMEONE else's booth! There is also artist parking at the Nazarene Church (one block down on Corning) and at the elementary school. Do not park on the streets around the Fair. Save these for customer parking.

SECURITY: There WILL be a security guard onsite from Friday 7 pm until Saturday 7 am.
