Prepare for LANDING! This August 2nd from 1–7PM, downtown Elgin becomes a galactic hotspot as AREA 22 touches down on Riverside Drive! Brought to you by Side Street Studio Arts, this isn’t just an art fair — it’s an interdimensional experience where fine arts, crafts, and curious oddities collide in the most vibrant corner of the Fox Valley.

Wander among alien-worthy artistry, witness live art and sculpture-making in real time, fuel up on stellar food and cosmic beverages, and groove to entertainment from this world and beyond. It's fun for earthlings of all ages — and yes, even your pets from other planets are welcome (dogs, snakes, or whatever species you roll with).

Free admission. Free parking. Rain or shine. Whether you're an art connoisseur, a curious collector, or just here for the strange and spectacular, AREA 22 is the ultimate art fair from another dimension.

Warning: You may experience more exciting art fairs in the universe… but we seriously doubt it.

June 2 - Deadline for application.

June 10 - Approval Notifications sent to artists.

June 15 - Deadline for artist acceptance. *Booth fee invoiced upon acceptance; booth space will not be reserved without payment.

June 18 - Payment Deadline.

June 25 - Load-In/Set-Up/Day-Of information sent to participants.

We will be accepting 60 artist/booths this year. A waitlist will be created after number reached.

VENDOR FEE​

$75 for the one-day event for a 10’ x 10’ space.

$100 for the one-day event for a 20' x 10' space.

$50 - Young Artist Booth, 17 and below (5 spots available)

There is a $10 fee per submission. If chosen, your fee will be applied to your booth fee. *Submission fees are non-refundable.

This is a juried event. No commission will be charged for work sold. VENDOR FEE charged upon acceptance. Your booth space will not be reserved without Vendor Fee payment. There will be no refunds for artist cancellations. However, refunds would be made in the event of AREA 22 being canceled by its producers.
