Art in the Barn

The 47th annual Art in the Barn juried fine art festival will be held the weekend of September 24th and 25th on the sprawling grounds of Advocate Good Shepherd Hospital in Barrington, IL, located 35 miles northwest of Chicago. This is an open-air event held in a collection of rustic barns and farm buildings as well as artist-provided tents. What began in 1974 as a modest art show has grown to be one of the most unique, high quality, and well-attended art festivals in the Chicago area with over 175 juried artists exhibiting their work. Art in the Barn has a rich history of drawing people and families together to enjoy the exhibition and sale of fine art as well as live music and entertainment, food from a variety of vendors, and children's art, all in a picturesque country setting.
