The Monte Sano Art Festival ranked CC73 in 2025’s 200 Best list. All the artists who reviewed 2025’s show said they would exhibit in it again.
“It was such a fun show under the trees! Good shade, good people, and good sales!” said a fine art artist who made $3,000 at the festival.
A fine art artist who reported $4,750 in sales described it as a show with excellent value and a great layout for easy setup and customer parking. “Monte Sano is set in a beautiful state park and is well planned and managed by Arts Huntsville. This is my most profitable event every year,” the artist said.
Excellent sales and attendance, as well as being able to park behind the booth, are why a fine art artist whose medium is painting would return. The artist had $5,500 in sales.
Another fine art artist whose medium is painting said the festival had great buying energy. This artist’s sales totaled $6,500.
It was the seventh time participating in the show for one fine art artist who made $3,000. The artist said the state park is a great venue for the event. “It’s my favorite show of the year — can’t wait for next year!” the artist said.
An exhibitor who reported $1,600 in sales loves the Huntsville area, with its fast-growing, high-tech economy and strong support for the arts. “This is a terrific art show with strong support from the city and attendance by the enthusiastic and wealthy art patrons of Huntsville. This is one of the most beautiful festival venues we do each year, in Monte Sano State Park under the big deciduous trees, overlooking the foothills of the Appalachian, surrounded by nature. The early fall weather is usually nice, though there was a nearby thunderstorm this year. This is THE easiest show to load-in and load-out, with vehicle parking adjacent to many booths,” the exhibitor said.
Sales totaled $4,000 for a fine art artist whose medium is painting. “This is a show managed by an artist organization, not a professional promoter. It features excellent amenities for the artists, streamlined load-in, and excellent communication via email and text. Load-out went well, too,” the artist said. “Monte Sano is a beautiful park — a perfect venue for an outdoor art show. The show’s management is very good with planning and communication. Amenities and cheerful volunteers are plentiful. I really enjoyed doing this show.”
A fine art artist who made $2,000 said, “It was truly an art focused art festival, and the attendees were each interested, curious, and eager about my art process and why I focus my artworks on the fragility of wildlife and the habitats they call home. The conversations and interactions made the experience more worthwhile and enjoyable.”
