COMPILED FROM FASTAUDIT REVIEWS

The Little Falls Arts & Crafts Fair ranked CC65 in 2024’s 200 Best list. Ninety-one percent of the artists who reviewed two of the last several shows said they would exhibit again.

“Best show that week,” said an arts and crafts artist whose mediums are wood and fiber/textile/leather. The artist made $6,000 at the event.

An exhibitor who reported $9,000 in sales said, “Attendance was solid — must have amazing advertising and/or have a great following for this event. Having good attendance is really the biggest thing we look at, so we’ll be back to this one.”

A fine craft artist who had $10,000 in sales would return, too.

A vendor whose sales totaled $2,500 would participate again and said, “It is very well-attended and run like a well-oiled machine.”

An arts and crafts artist who made $1,500 said, “It is the busiest show in Minnesota, and it is our favorite.”

A wood artist would return due to the affordable booth fees, sales, and attendance. This artist’s sales totaled $7,000.

SHOW PROMOTER’S SELF‑REVIEW

Sabrina Koelsch said 2024’s Little Falls Arts and Crafts Fair was a resounding success. “Blessed with perfect weather, the event drew in large crowds eager to explore the diverse offerings from our 580 talented vendors,” she said.

The Little Falls Chamber & Tourism sponsors the event, and Koelsch is the marketing manager. She said, “Saturday was a bustling day, with attendees filling the downtown area and making numerous purchases. To accommodate the high turnout, our free shuttle service was in constant use, ensuring visitors could easily navigate the expansive show.

“Sunday provided a more relaxed atmosphere, allowing patrons to leisurely browse the various booths and appreciate the unique creations on display. While the crowds were smaller than on Saturday, the event still maintained a vibrant energy.

“With such a vast array of vendors spread throughout downtown, it was a challenge to see every booth. However, the shuttle service and the overall layout of the fair made it easier for visitors to explore the different sections.

“Overall, the Little Falls Arts and Crafts Fair was a fantastic event that showcased the creativity and talent of our local artisans. We are grateful for the overwhelming support from our community and look forward to hosting another successful fair in the future.”

What Artists Said

Attendance was estimated at 90,000, with Koelsch again noting the weather was perfect. Artists’ sales were up from last year. “We are on our 51st year, and vendors who have been with us for many years report being in their top sales this year,” she said.

What the Promoter Learned

Something learned at the show they will improve at future shows was related to traffic flow. “We want to make improvement on the traffic flow through our downtown,” Koelsch said. “From feedback we received, we would like to have more traffic control.”

Their Best Improvement

She said the best improvement made this year others might learn from was the implementation of a new website for vendor applications and payments. Koelsch described it as a significant improvement that has likely contributed to the show’s success. Streamlining the application process and eliminating the need for manual data entry saves time and resources.

“While there is still room for improvement on the website, it’s important to maintain the online application and payment systems,” she said. “These features provide convenience for both vendors and organizers, and they can help to attract more participants in the future.”

Her message to those considering this show is, “The Little Falls Arts and Crafts Fair is a highly anticipated event with a strong reputation for organization and quality. As demonstrated by the positive feedback from vendors this year, the fair offers a well-structured and supportive environment for artists and makers to showcase their work.

“If you’re considering exhibiting at the fair, you can expect a well-organized event with a dedicated team of staff to assist you. The positive experience of previous vendors is a testament to the fair’s reputation for running smoothly and efficiently.

“By participating in the Little Falls Arts and Crafts Fair, you can gain exposure to a large and enthusiastic audience, connect with other talented artisans, and potentially increase your sales.”
