Handcrafters Tinsel & Treasures Holiday Market ranked CC67 in Sunshine Artist’s 200 Best list last year. The event features holiday décor items and handmade gifts.
The artists who reviewed this show gave it mixed ratings.
A fine craft artist made $1,200, was disappointed with the event, and would not participate again. “This used to be a good show but has gone downhill. Promoters no longer do the same social media promotions and advertising, and it shows,” the artist said. “They seem more concerned about their bottom line and less about the quality of the show or the treatment of the artists. Low attendance and poor sales.”
A mixed media artist is undecided about wanting to be in the show again, saying “The times were way too long on Friday, Sunday was dead, $300 for day.” The sales for this artist totaled $3,000.
A jewelry artist whose sales totaled $750 described it as a well-organized show and would do it again. “The artists’ quality of work/craftsmanship was outstanding. The show focuses on handmade and handcrafted items, and there was a nice mix of vendors. Direct sales shows are appearing to be more of the norm for craft shows.”
An arts and crafts artist who made $4,000 would also participate again.
Sales for an artist who listed other as the medium totaled $9,000. “Great show!” said this artist who would welcome an invite in the future.
An artist whose mediums were wood and art glass made $2,000 at the event and would also be part of it again.
The sales for an artist whose mediums were arts and crafts, metal, and other totaled $500. “Love the gals that manage it and how it is run!” said the artist.
