   As artists, we all eagerly await the acceptance letter that lets us know we have been selected to exhibit at one of the most wonderful events on our planet, the “Wherever Art Show.” As newbies, we think we are going to get into every show we’ve applied for and be flooded with invitations to come back the next year. However, it only takes one rejection letter to deflate our balloons. As veterans, we know that the rejections don’t stop at just one letter. Nope, many of us can use them to wallpaper our homes, or our galleries, as is the case with one artist I know. It’s a sight that his customers find very humorous.

   I must say, though, that in addition to all the rejection letters I have received this year through Zapplication alone (19 to date), I have been bombarded with waitlist letters as well. And that’s not to mention the onslaught of extended-deadline letters, which are another story.
